There are some things that you have to watch out when you will start a new blog. If you want lots of readers, you have to follow some steps that will reach you to the top. However, the best advice is to stay calm!

Host

First, find a good host. If you haven’t rented one yet, I’m suggesting you to make a good search, because it’s important to find a host with the features you want.

Name

Find a name. Don’t worry about the name, use everything that you like (serious or not). Just be careful to find an available domain. (Suggested domains: .com, .org, .net, .info)

Template

Select your template. Use a theme that you like or buy a premium (recommended). Choose the suitable colors and of course make some changes.
Install some plug-ins but be sure that they aren’t huge because they will slow your blog’s speed. Also, don’t overdo it!

Social Networks

Use Social Networks to promote your blog. Sites like Twitter, Facebook, MySpace …, or Stumble Upon, Delicious…, are one of the best ways to reach the top.

Content

Don’t launch your blog if you don’t have at least 5-10 posts ready to publish. The first days or even the first months of the blog are really important, so you should have daily and quality content.

Use the best services in your blog like Google Analytics, Feedburder, Polldaddy and others…
